What’s going on in the Nursery?
Welcome to Nursery
At Haseltine nursery we currently offer part time (15 hours) and full time (30 hours) places. We offer part time morning places (8:55-11:55am) and part time afternoon places (12:20-3:20pm). Each of the part time sessions is 3 hours each day, Monday- Friday.
We also offer a number of full time places (8:55-3:20pm). Please check the link to see if you are eligible….. https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare. If you are eligible you will need to apply before the deadline to ensure your child gets their full entitlement. Please speak to the office regarding any queries and deadlines.
The term after you child turns 3 years old, they are eligible for universal funding of 15 hours per week. This would mean they could access a part time place of morning or afternoon sessions Monday to Friday at the nursery.
The nursery staff are: Miss Banton and Miss Henry. Please speak with any of us if you have questions, concerns or any information you would like to share with us – especially about your child’s development & learning.
We provide the nursery children with a safe and calm learning environment allowing for them to settle and explore a range of activities inside and outside, regardless of the weather. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum specifically the Prime Areas- Communication & Language (C&L), Physical Development (PD) and Personal, Social, Emotional Development (PSED).
We offer exciting opportunities for open-ended learning based on their interests as well a number of adult supported activities such as baking. We focus on developing their independence in particular: their toileting and dressing skills. We ensure that the activities meet the individual needs of each child to ensure they are also being challenged.
