School Lunches
The Haseltine Restaurant – Lunch at Haseltine Primary School is served in The Haseltine Restaurant in two staggered sittings – the first for the Reception and KS1 children from 11.45am to 1pm and the second for KS2 children from 12.25-1.25pm.
Your children can choose whether to bring in a healthy packed lunch from home or to eat the food cooked/made on site in our kitchens by our catering company, Nourish. As you are aware, at present, under the Mayors Meals scheme for 2024-2025 all children in school receive a paid for meal. Once the scheme finishes the following will apply (price may be subject to change in September 2026). School dinners are charged at £2.50 per day, £12.50 per week. All dinner money charges are payable in advance. Haseltine is now a cash free school so all meal are to be paid for online via the Arbor App.
We ask that once your have selected a meal type you do not change your child’s meal type any more frequently than half termly. Thank you.
Universal Infant Free Healthy School Meal and Free school meals
If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 (under the government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals (UISFM) scheme) they are entitled to a Healthy meal paid for by the local authority. If your child is entitled to Free School Meals please ensure you apply for these in advance via Lewisham Local Authority. You can do this via Laurence House in Catford or online. Please inform the school office that you have applied for Free School Meals. Once your child is in receipt of Free School Meals there will be other benefits available for them including music lessons, cheaper school trips, free breakfast club after 8.00 am.
